1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Playcebo app and website. By using Playcebo you agree to them. These terms are provided by Playcebo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17404203).
2. Who can use Playcebo
You must be 16 or over.
3. Medical disclaimer (important)
Playcebo is an educational revision tool. Its questions and content are for study and revision only.
Playcebo is not medical advice and must never be used for clinical decision-making, diagnosis, or the treatment of any patient. Content may contain errors, simplifications, or become out of date. Always rely on primary clinical sources, current guidelines, and qualified supervision for any real-world medical decision. We accept no liability for reliance on the content for any purpose other than personal study.
4. Your account
Guest use needs no account; an account lets you play across devices. Keep your login secure and don’t share your account — you’re responsible for activity under it. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account anytime in the app.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our content; don’t reverse-engineer, disrupt or attack the service; don’t upload unlawful or infringing content; and don’t use Playcebo to break the law.
6. Content and intellectual property
The service, questions, software and branding are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Playcebo for your own study. If you submit content (e.g. a question report), you grant us a licence to use it to operate and improve the service.
7. Purchases
If we offer paid items, prices and what you get are shown before you buy, purchases are handled by the relevant app store or payment provider under their terms, and your statutory rights are unaffected.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Playcebo available but don’t guarantee it’s uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. We may update these terms and will bring material changes to your attention.
9. Our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Playcebo is provided “as is”; we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss from relying on educational content for any non-study purpose. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts have jurisdiction, unless local law gives you other mandatory rights.
